Thursday, stop 3 of 14

What one stop leaves behind

  1. 7:40

    Route sheet on the phone

Maria opens Thursday East: 14 stops in driving order, with the dock code for Bayview Pediatrics and which hallway the console sits in.

  2. 9:15

    Bins emptied, weight entered

Two consoles and a 64-gallon bin go into the truck. She types 2 bins and 86 lbs before pulling out of the lot. No paper ticket to retype tonight.

  3. 9:16

    Certificate issued

Marking the stop done issues certificate COD-000418 with the date, weight and method. Nobody opens Word.

  4. Friday

    The client asks for proof

Bayview Pediatrics' office manager signs in and downloads every certificate for the quarter for their HIPAA binder, without calling your office.

What changes

The whiteboard, the tickets and the Word file, retired

Routes on a whiteboard and a spreadsheet

Shred truck route sheets by weekday, stops in driving order

Drag a stop up or down and every driver's sheet follows. Print it for the clipboard if your drivers prefer paper.

Weights and bin counts on paper tickets

Logged at the stop from a phone

Bins emptied and pounds go straight into the pickup history, so invoices and weight reports aren't waiting on a stack of tickets.

A Word certificate of destruction per pickup

A numbered certificate issued automatically

Every pickup marked done gets the next certificate number. Search it by number, client or date, print it, or send the client a link.

"Can you send us everything from last year?"

A client login and a CSV export

Give an office manager a login that only shows their own pickups and certificates, or export the whole history in one file.

Client Viewer
A client's office manager. Sees that one client's pickup history and downloads its certificates.

Questions shredders ask

Certificates, route sheets and the trial

What should a shredding certificate of destruction include?
At least a unique certificate number, the client's name and service address, the pickup date, the destruction date and method (on-site in the truck or off-site at your plant), how many containers were emptied and the weight, and who signed it. ShredRoute Log fills all of that in from the pickup, so each certificate matches the stop it came from.
Is there a certificate of destruction template I can use?
You don't need one. Instead of copying a Word template for each pickup, ShredRoute Log issues the certificate when the driver marks the stop done, numbers it in order, and keeps it on the client's history. You can print it or save it as a PDF from any browser.
Can drivers print a shred truck route sheet?
Yes. Each route prints as a sheet with the stops in order, the address and access notes, the bins on site, and blank columns for bins emptied and weight. Drivers with a phone can log straight into the app instead.
Is this paper shredding software for a plant or for trucks?
Trucks. The people using it run 1 to 10 shred trucks and empty consoles at offices, clinics and law firms every week, every other week or once a month. Plant work such as baling, purge jobs by the box, and NAID audit prep stays outside it.
Does it replace a field service tool like Jobber?
For shredding, yes: generic field service tools don't track bins at a client site, weight per pickup, or certificates of destruction. ShredRoute Log does those and leaves invoicing to your accounting software; export the pickup history to CSV when you bill.
How does the free trial work?
Sign up and log real routes for 14 days on the Starter plan's limits, with no card on file. When the 14 days run out, your clients, pickups and certificates can still be opened, printed and downloaded; new pickups wait until you choose a plan.
